When you're running multiple accounts across different geos, residential proxies become essential. But buying a package blindly wastes money fast. You need to calculate how much traffic you actually burn through, then add a buffer for testing and mistakes.
Traffic consumption depends on three things: how many accounts you're rotating through, how often each account connects, and what actions it performs. A single account checking ads in feed uses less data than one uploading videos. Map this out before you buy.
Count Your Active Accounts
Start with the accounts you're actually running campaigns on right now. Don't count spares or backups—only working accounts in rotation.
- Facebook campaigns: How many ad accounts are live? Include all РК across different БМ.
- Instagram accounts: Are you warming them, posting content, or just holding them? Active posting burns more data than idle holding.
- Google Ads: Each account needs separate sessions. Count active campaigns only.
Be honest here. If you say you have 50 accounts but only 15 are actually running ads, you're sizing for the wrong number.
Estimate Sessions Per Account
A session is one connection to the account. Each time you log in, check the account, or run an automated action, that's a session.
Typical workflow per account per day:
- Checking performance: 1–2 sessions
- Launching new campaigns: 2–3 sessions
- Warming or farming: 3–5 sessions (if you're doing it manually or with soft)
- Idle holding: 0–1 session
If you're using an anti-detect browser with residential proxies for 20+ sessions of account warming, that's heavy traffic. If you're just logging in twice daily to check stats, that's light.

Calculate Daily Data Consumption
Each session eats roughly 5–15 MB depending on what the account does. Checking feed and ads uses less. Uploading creatives or running reports uses more.
Simple math: accounts × daily sessions × 10 MB average = daily consumption.
Example: 30 accounts, 3 sessions each per day, 10 MB per session = 900 MB daily, or about 27 GB monthly.
This is your baseline. Now add buffer.
Add Buffer for Testing and Mistakes
Your baseline isn't your final number. Add 30–50% on top for:
- Testing new accounts before they go live
- Re-checking accounts after platform updates
- Connection failures forcing re-login
- Setting up new campaigns or creatives
- Troubleshooting bans or checks
If your baseline is 27 GB, add 8–13 GB buffer. Buy for 35–40 GB to stay safe.
Account Type Matters
Different account formats burn traffic differently:
- Аренда (rental accounts): Light usage—usually just logging in to check status. Lower daily sessions.
- FARM accounts: Heavy usage if you're actively warming them with 20+ sessions. Budget more.
- Авторег (fresh auto-registered): Need more sessions early for priming and warming. Front-loaded traffic.
- KING PZRD: Typically stable, moderate sessions once running campaigns.
If half your accounts are farms you're actively warming and half are rentals just holding, your real consumption sits between light and heavy—not in the middle of your estimates.

Geographic Spread Affects Data Use
Running accounts across multiple geos? Each geo needs its own residential proxy connection. That's separate traffic per location.
If you're spreading 30 accounts across 5 countries, you're not dividing traffic by 5—you're managing 5 separate proxy streams. Each stream needs enough bandwidth to handle its accounts smoothly.
For accounts in Ukraine, Poland, and USA, calculate consumption per geo separately, then sum them up. Don't average them.

Choose Your Package Size
residential proxies come in traffic packages. Match your calculated need plus buffer to the package tier available.
If you calculated 40 GB needed, pick the package that covers 40 GB comfortably. Don't go below—you'll run out mid-month and either overpay for overages or go without. Don't go massively above—you're throwing money at unused bandwidth.
Most buyers underestimate by 20–30%. If you're uncertain, round up one tier. It's cheaper than buying emergency top-ups.
Monitor and Adjust
After the first month, check how much you actually used. Compare it to your estimate. If you burned through 80% of the package, next month size up. If you used 40%, you can downsize.
Your consumption changes when you add accounts, launch heavier campaigns, or switch to more active warming. Recalculate every quarter or when your workflow shifts significantly.
Right sizing saves money and keeps your accounts running without interruption. Buy what you need, not what sounds safe.
